Assistant Controller Job Description:
PrideStaff Financial is working with an industry leader who is in search of an Assistant Controller to join their team. The Assistant Controller will oversee the accounting team, ensure daily operations are running smoothly with the ability to lead and support with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and is able to spot discrepancies with ease and efficiency. The ideal Assistant Controller will have real estate accounting experience with responsibility for leading and managing a team of accountants. Assistant Controller Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead by Example as You Develop & Supervise Accounting Personnel For Desired Results
Work With Accountants & Review Monthly Financials
Act as The Main Point of Contact For All Clients Regarding Accounts & Accounting Needs
Schedule & Facilitate External Audits For All Accounts & Ensure Clients Needs Are Met
Provide Consistent Communication Between Departments Ensuring Deadlines Are Met
Leads With Professional Attire & Exceptional Communication Skills to All Vendors, Employees & Clients
Adhere to All State & Federal Law For Financial Reporting
Assist With Additional Accounting Functions as Needed
Assistant Controller Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Similar Degree Required
5 Years of Accounting Experience With 2+ Years of Supervising Experience
Proficient With GAAP Standards, Fair Housing Laws, Yardi & Real Page Software Required
Demonstrates Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
Solid Computer Proficiency Including Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Excel & Word
Leads With Integrity & Meticulous Problem Solving Skills
