Job Description

The City of Norwalk seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead HR operations and strengthen workforce strategies. This leadership role involves managing personnel operations for a vibrant city and requires a strategic, experienced leader with extensive HR expertise. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and experience in public HR management.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in personnel administration or labor relations.
  • At least three years of public HR management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and strengthen citywide HR systems, workforce relations, and talent development strategies.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Mayor and executive team.
