Your Role

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient care through education, consultation, and leadership. You’ll collaborate with staff and medical providers to develop innovative training programs that ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and improve clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care within Intensive Care Units and Step Down Units.
• Assess and improve the quality of care for specific patient populations.
• Coordinate and implement nursing staff orientation and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with medical providers to develop and deliver educational curricula.
• Plan and implement annual competencies in collaboration with Nurse Managers.
• Monitor trends and implement educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Act as a resource for clinical practice interventions that improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Participate in teaching and coaching of staff nurses and healthcare professionals.
• Foster a spirit of inquiry and apply research findings to advance clinical practice.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current Registered Nurse license in Connecticut. A BSN is required; a Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience: At least five years of progressive experience in clinical practice, nursing education, or nursing management in an acute care setting.
• Skills: Strong leadership, attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
