Position Summary:

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving sales growth. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and leveraging your established network in the construction community. The ideal candidate will have a strong industry background, excellent communication skills, and a relentless drive to achieve targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the construction industry.
  • Analyze customer needs and develop strategies to meet market demands
  • Leverage existing your existing network to create and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, real estate developers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Generate new leads through networking, industry events, trade shows, and referrals
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with the companies’ growths objectives
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals, presentations, and bids that showcase our competitive advantage advantages. Ensure all submissions are tailored to meet client expectations and industry standards.
  • Work diligently to close deals and secure new projects
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and report on progress to the executive team.
  • Track leads, opportunities, and sales activities, ensuring accurate forecasting and performance analysis
  • Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other internal teams to ensure client satisfaction
  • Represent Aterra Construction at industry related events, conferences, and networking functions by promoting the company’s brand, values, and services.

Requirements

  • 5 plus years of experience in business development or sales within the construction industry with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
  • Well established presence and relationships within the construction community, including developers, architects, vendors, and engineers
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation
  • A genuine passion for the construction industry with an entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to driving sales and business growth

Travel Requirements

  • Requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
