We are seeking a motivated and eager Cybersecurity Intern to join our team at a large, privately held company. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity . The ideal candidate will assist in protecting our digital assets, maintaining data privacy, and ensuring the resilience of our information systems against cyber threats.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies and policies.
  • Support the security of end-user interactions, digital identities, end-point devices, network infrastructure, and system architectures.
  • Participate in the information security program, helping to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate data.
  • Collaborate with a team of cybersecurity professionals and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the department.
  • Coordinate with other departments to integrate security practices into their workflows and systems.
  • Help conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in responding to and recovering from security incidents and breaches, minimizing impact and implementing lessons learned.
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to keep our defenses up-to-date .

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with common security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, VPN, etc.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong interest and passion for learning new skills and staying updated on cybersecurity trends and developments.
  • Previous experience or certification in cybersecurity is a plus, but not required.
