Location This is an in-office position for hire at Inspired Flight’s HQ in San Luis Obispo, CA. Job Description Inspired Flight is seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Test Pilot to join our Engineering team. A Test Pilot will work with engineers to develop, test, document, and deliver new technologies to the aircraft platform, by performing lab and flight testing. This position is at the core of the engineering department at Inspired Flight and will be part of a rapidly growing company in the growing UAV industry. Typical responsibilities: Performing multiple flights on a daily basis testing, documenting success, and improvements Generate detailed test plans based on engineering requirements Train customer service and flight operations team members on new products Fly prototype software and hardware on multiple types of aircraft Provide feedback to engineering on bugs, improvements, and capabilities. Use company software tools and provide feedback on user experience You’ll excel in this role if you have: Detailed oriented, ability to follow detailed instructions and document issues Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and document corrective action steps Great communication skills and can work in cross functional teams and you are self motivated and willing to own a project from start to finish.
