File Clerk BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated File Clerk - South San Francisco, CA 94080 Job Title : File Clerk Location : South San Francisco, CA 94080 Payrate : $25.00 - $28.00 Duration :11+ Months Estimated start date 6/24/2025 Shift Timing : Monday-Friday 8 AM -5 PM Position Summary: Genentech is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Contractor to support a data archiving and documentation project. This role involves extracting firmware/software from legacy media and maintaining accurate records and metrics. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, collaborative, organized, and comfortable working onsite. Key Responsibilities: Extract firmware and software from archived physical media (floppy disks, CDs, tape drives) Upload extracted files into designated digital repositories Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets Provide regular status updates and associated progress metrics Query internal automation databases to determine active/inactive systems Qualifications: Required: Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Collaborative and positive team attitude Customer service mindset Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, Slides) Ability to work onsite in South San Francisco Preferred: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred but not required Recent graduates encouraged to apply Technical or database familiarity is a plus Flexibility and willingness to learn new systems Benefits BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
