Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Partnership: Partner with business leaders and HR to navigate complex legal and regulatory issues related to employment, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
• Comprehensive Expertise: Provide legal counsel on a broad range of HR matters, including employee relations, recruitment, wage & hour, workers' compensation, and immigration.
• Proactive Approach: Develop and implement effective employment practices, policies, and compliance programs to foster a positive work environment.
• Training & Development: Deliver engaging training sessions to managers and employees on critical legal topics, policies, and best practices.
• Litigation Management: Oversee and manage employment-related litigation, including collaboration with external counsel when necessary.
• General Legal Matters: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, agreements, and other legal documents essential for Virun's business operations. Provide legal guidance on intellectual property, data privacy, and other relevant areas.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active law license in California.
• 5+ years of in-house or law firm experience handling diverse employment and general legal matters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with colleagues across departments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
