Responsible for handling the effective printing, packaging, labeling and mailing of documents with a high level of attention to detail. Provides a wide range of support within a team/group/function. Must be able to work every other Saturday. Duties include sorting and traying mail for dispatch, placing mail in proper buckets for distribution, receiving outgoing mail and applying correct postage, arranging for pickup or delivery to the Post Office, stamping mail with postage meters, folding letters and inserting into envelopes, weighing mail to determine correct postage, recording registered mail, stocking copy rooms and printing devices, using paper insert machines, accepting and processing domestic, international and special mail services, dispatching mail according to guidelines and deadlines, knowing postal manuals and directives, following processes and procedures, troubleshooting and recommending improvements, and actively contributing to team goals. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years of experience, knowledge of department practices, physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs, good communication skills, ability to multi-task under deadlines, knowledge of printing and mailing automation, and ability to establish effective working relationships.
