Role: Health & Safety Project Manager
Duration: 7 Months
Location: Dallas, TX - 75202
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Update current Health & Safety (HS) policies to a Global H&S standard.
2. Review Job Hazard analysis and provide support to business units (BU) on their JHA development.
3. Analyze reports of near misses and track corrective actions
4. Collaborate with training manager to develop scripts for safety training
5. Review current safety training and make recommendations for improvement.
6. Create safety tips and tailgate one page guide for quarterly safety in a box resource for BU.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Hazard Identification and Evaluation:
• Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices during task performance at a construction site.
• Implement extensive fall protection measures.
2. Hazard Control Development:
• Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs.
• Advise and educate team members on hazard control strategies.
3. Effectiveness Measurement:
• Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
• Ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements through task performance evaluation.
4. Documentation and Tracking:
• Document and track results to support safety program elements.
• Maintain accurate records of safety activities and outcomes.
5. Incident Management:
• Conduct incident investigations and site inspections.
• Identify root causes, determine corrective actions, and support implementation.
6. Training and Education:
• Conduct employee training sessions to educate on site safety requirements.
• Facilitate monthly meetings with the safety sub-committee.
7. Pre-task Plans and Audits:
• Review and audit pre-task plans, site risk analyses, and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with the daily management of the tiered auditing program, including closure of facility’s preventative and corrective action plans.
