Job Title : Research Associate

Overview
Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Research Associate. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelors degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields. Required experience includes LC-MS biological sample preparation involving a multi-step process to isolate, purify, and concentrate the analytes of interest for the LCMS analysis. 
 
Responsibilities
• Preparation of samples for mass spectrometry analysis
• Design of experiments in collaboration with colleagues
• Conduct analytical experiments and method development as needed
• Identify and exploit new scientific concepts
• Interpretation and documentation of experimental results
• Communication of experimental results to team members
• Maintaining high quality record in electronic lab notebook
 

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• BS/MS degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields (NON-PhD)
• Recent graduate

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• LC-MS biological sample preparation involving a multi-step process to isolate, purify, and concentrate the analytes of interest for the LCMS analysis
• Operation of laboratory equipment
• Works well both independently and as part of a team. Collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a matrix-environment
• Strong data organization, analysis, and communication skills

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Standard laboratory operations: standing, walking, sitting, light lifting.
