Job Description
Salary: up to $55 per class
TITLE YOGA INSTRUCTOR - Style Optional.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Creating safe and effective yoga sequences for the style of yoga hired to teach, prepare the room, greets students, ensures all signed into registry, and instruct asana verbally and through appropriate physical demonstration. Instructor stays to answer questions after class, make announcements, promotes workshops and straightens room before leaving, which includes folding blankets and rolling straps.
JOB RELATED SKILLS AND QUALITIES Great compassion and communication skills, advanced knowledge of yoga, basic knowledge of acupuncture, massage and tea, comfortable talking with strangers, and retail sales, and completion of a 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training. Must maintain liability insurance as a yoga instructor.
CONDITIONS OF WORK Usually 1.5 hours total at a time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires the instructor to be able to physically demonstrate any asana that they decide to include in their sequence.
